Permissions & Package Queries

To deliver local device optimization and unlock custom game configurations, FPS Unlocker requires specific Android system permissions. Below is an exhaustive list detailing exactly how and why each permission is utilized:

Purpose: Used solely to check for application updates, retrieve configuration files, and allow third-party advertisement delivery via Google AdMob.

Purpose: Required to locate local game resource folders and save customized FPS configuration files directly to your device storage so that the games can detect them.

Purpose: Required for the Floating Window feature, which allows you to monitor real-time FPS stats and device status overlayed directly on top of your game window.

Technical Detail: Permits communication with the Shizuku manager interface.
Purpose: Used to run commands with system-level privileges without root access. This is essential for unlocking high refresh rates and running system optimizations securely.

Purpose: Allows the application to execute local, custom performance optimization scripts via Termux if configured by the user.
WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS â–¼

Purpose: Used locally to modify display refresh rates (e.g., force 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate profiles) when requested by the user.

<queries> (Package Queries) â–¼
Technical Detail: Queries the package status of other applications installed on the user's device.
Purpose: The application queries specific packages (like PUBG Mobile variants, MT Manager, WhatsApp, Shizuku, Termux) solely to check if they are installed, enabling target-specific optimization presets and direct integration. It does NOT upload your installed applications list anywhere.

The Application utilizes third-party code and SDKs that may collect information about you. Specifically, Google AdMob and Google Play Services are integrated to deliver advertisements and run basic non-identifying telemetry/crash reports.

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our records.
